HAE acquires South Africa’s Groupair

HAE acquires South Africa’s Groupair

UK air cargo services provider HAE says it bought Groupair in South Africa – but the firm has not revealed any financial terms of the deal.

Groupair is a neutral consolidator providing air, sea, road and courier services.

HAE says that Groupair is able to assist customers with requirements for air, sea and road freight in the South or Sub-Saharan Africa region.

On Groupair’s website it says: “Over the years Groupair has firmly established itself from being a solely neutral airfreight consolidator to a complete neutral consolidator.”

The company also explains that Groupair can assist clients with courier freight, packing, dangerous goods collection or deliveries, cargo brokerage and warehousing.

This acquisition comes hot on the heels of Panalpina picking up a majority stake in Airflo from the Dutch Flower Group two weeks ago, too accelerate its business in the Kenyan flower logistics market.
