Global K9 (GK9) has been appointed as the exclusive cargo screening provider for Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
DFW serves as the ground handler’s US headquarters and one of its busiest locations in North America by cargo tonnage, all of which will now be cleared for loading by GK9.
The agreement will see GK9 oversee all screening operations at both DFW and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), including the provision of certified canine handling teams, X-ray screening, and authorized representatives to ensure compliance at every stage.
“Our operations offer a complete detection solution for air cargo, enabling us to manage every aspect of the screening process with a high level of precision, and we’re looking forward to providing this for such a long-running customer,” said Eric Hare, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, GK9.
“Being the sole screening provider for one of WFS’ most important locations in the US is a testament to the consistency of GK9’s work since the beginning of our partnership.”
Last year, WFS processed over 250,000 tonnes of cargo through its DFW facilities, and 115,000 tonnes through those at IAH.
“Efficiency throughout our operations is essential to WFS and our customers, especially at our busiest locations; but this can never be at the expense of safety and security,” said Ben Dawson, Vice President Operations, WFS Americas.
“Partnering with Global K9 allows us to deliver the high level of service our customers have come to rely on while meeting stringent compliance standards for the safe and secure movement of cargo.”
GK9 has been working with WFS since 2021, and now delivers services across nine US cities, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Portland, and San Francisco, covering more than 25 of its facilities.
