Girdwood chosen as IAG Cargo chief financial officer

Lewis Girdwood has taken over as IAG Cargo chief financial officer, bringing over 25 years of financial experience with him.

He joins the company from EasyJet where he was head of financial planning and analysis, and will play a key role in delivering IAG Cargo’s business strategy.

IAG Cargo chief executive officer, Drew Crawley says: “Lewis brings a diverse skillset drawn from multiple industries from which we as a business can learn.”

Girdwood spent seven years at EasyJet working on a number of projects including the 2013 fleet acquisition of next generation Airbus NEOs.

Commenting on his new role, which he starts today (1 March 2017), Girdwood says: “I was hugely impressed by the drive of Drew and the senior team at IAG Cargo to deliver a first class customer proposition. I’m delighted to be joining IAG Cargo and look forward to supporting the growth plans of the business.”
