Jettainer, the global leader in Unit Load Device (ULD) management, is forging ahead with its reorganisation. Dr. Gert Pfeifer took up his new role as General Manager of Europe on April 1. This position was created to align Jettainer’s sales and organisational strategy for Europe with regional market requirements and the group’s overarching commercial strategy.
After previously appointing General Managers for the Americas and, the Middle East, and Africa, Jettainer has now named Dr Gert Pfeifer, an experienced aviation expert from within the company, as its General Manager in Europe.

This position is part of Jettainer’s strategic reorganisation to respond optimally to regional market trends and needs. Gert’s new responsibilities include developing and implementing a regional sales and operations strategy for Europe to enhance and ensure the market-driven and reliable ULD management service at all times.
He and his teams will handle all aspects of customer relations in the region, including sales, operations, and customer service, reinforcing Jettainer’s dedication to excellence in serving its customers.

Dr Gert Pfeifer joined Jettainer 15 years ago and has held various leadership roles in IT and Operations. Most recently, he was Head of Operational Excellence Supply Chain and was responsible for areas including fleet management, ULD engineering, the repair and maintenance processes and new customer integration. Dr Pfeifer also played a vital role in the development of digital twins, virtual images of real ULDs, to identify any additional potential for improvement from the very first to the final use of containers and pallets.
