Global Critical Logistics (GCL), a global leader in live event entertainment logistics and high net worth shipping and freight, has announced the appointment of J.P. Hannan as its new Chief Financial Officer for its entire platform, including Rock-it Cargo, Dietl, Dynamic, CARS, Cosdel, Xtreme and Dell Will.
Hannan brings an impressive track record in driving performance-focused financial foundations and growth at private equity-backed and public companies, particularly within the media and broadcasting sectors. J.P. joins GCL from Cox Media Group (CMG), an Apollo Global portfolio company, where he served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, and led the financial carveout of CMG from Cox Enterprises.
“I’m delighted to have J.P. lead the GCL finance team,” said Daniel Rosenthal, President and Chief Executive Officer, GCL. “He is a true finance professional with strong industry background and tremendous experience rationalizing financial and strategic objectives, and driving growth on a strengthened business foundation.”
Prior to his role at CMG, J.P. spent nine years as a financial leader at Cumulus Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMLS), contributing to the growth of its market cap by $1.2 billion, and overseeing the integration of operations for more than 450 radio stations as its Chief Financial Officer.
His diverse experience also includes public company CFO roles with AutoWeb, SRAX, Inc., and Lincoln Financial Media.
J.P. began his career with privately held Lambert Television, where he held various positions, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Originally from New York, J.P. earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and is actively involved in charities supporting autism research, aid to special needs families, and youth athletics.
“My focus will be on strengthening the financial backbone of the organization, enabling us to navigate challenges and capitalize on new opportunities in the dynamic markets we operate in,” said Hannan.
“It is a privilege to be part of a company that values its employees, embraces diversity, and contributes positively to the community. I am excited to immerse myself in the culture and contribute to its continued success.”
In addition, Erin Cutri has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Finance – a position in which she will work alongside Hannan to drive the global integration of GCL’s financial platform.
Hannan is the latest in a series of new senior leadership appointments as GCL expands its global presence in the specialized logistics and freight forwarding industry across the live performance tour, sports and broadcasting, TV and film production, fine art, and automotive sectors.
