Garuda partners with dnata for Heathrow handling services

Garuda Indonesia has partnered with dnata for all ground handling services at its new Heathrow Airport services, which will see its operate five bellyhold flights a week from Singapore and Jakarta.

The airline will use a Boeing 777-300ER on the route, which will commence on 31 March. Garuda’s freight will be handled at dnata City, a purpose-built complex featuring industry-leading technology. dnata will also provide the carrier with inter-airport cargo trucking throughout the UK.

dnata senior vice president of business development, Mohammed Akhlaq says: “The Garuda Indonesia contract further consolidates our position as a major player at Heathrow and across the UK network where we have demonstrated our commitment to delivering high standards of safety and customer service for our airline clients.

“Our skilled and dedicated team of ground handlers and customer service professionals will ensure Garuda’s transition to its new home runs smoothly, paving the way for efficient ongoing operations at London’s biggest airport.”
