Frankfurt Airport launches real-time cargo dashboard

Frankfurt Airport launches real-time cargo dashboard

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has introduced a cutting-edge Cargo Dashboard service, providing a real-time overview of incoming cargo volumes and operational processes at CargoCity South. This innovative tool, developed by the Allivate joint venture, marks a significant advancement in the digital transformation of cargo operations.

The new Cargo Dashboard offers detailed insights into various aspects of the cargo handling process to participating companies within Frankfurt Airport’s cargo community.

The dashboard presents crucial data such as:

  • Distribution of cargo volumes throughout the day,
  • Current throughput times,
  • Infrastructure utilisation rates,
  • Overall process performance.

By offering this comprehensive overview, the dashboard enables companies to realistically assess operating conditions and make necessary adjustments to optimise their processes.

“The Cargo Dashboard supplies at-a-glance information about the entire process chain to all participants. This includes the distribution of cargo volumes across the day, current throughput times, infrastructure utilization, as well as the overall process performance. The system allows bottlenecks to be identified and for resources to be more efficiently allocated. It also provides customers with reliable insights into performance,” said Martina Schikorr, Managing Director at allivate GmbH.

This real-time tool is integrated into the existing FAIR@Link platform, enhancing the digital Cargo Community System. It offers decision-makers crucial data that improves on-site process quality and efficiency.

The success of the Cargo Dashboard is largely due to the high level of cooperation among companies at the site. These companies have contributed their data transparently, reflecting the strong sense of trust and collaboration within Frankfurt Airport’s cargo community.

Unlike traditional Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, allivate’s solution aggregates data from a diverse range of sources. This integration provides a comprehensive view of the entire cargo process chain, allowing for more informed decision-making and enhanced operational efficiency.
