Executives from Microsoft, Maersk, and Boohoo to headline CILT UK’s 2024 Annual Conference

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK) is delighted to announce keynote speakers for the 2024 Annual Conference.

Taking place on September 19 at De Vere Beaumont, Windsor, the theme for this year’s conference is “Mastering Competitive Advantage”.

The conference aims to inspire, engage and motivate delegates, offering countless networking opportunities and will showcase a variety of insightful speakers.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will be the core focus of the day with great opportunities to gain insight from a mixture of content that covers functional knowledge, soft skills and systematic frameworks.

Sarah Armstrong – Smith, Chief Security Advisor for Europe at one of the largest technology companies in the world, Microsoft and Michael Kosciukiewicz, Head of Supply Chain Development at popular fashion brand Boohoo will be delivering keynotes at this year’s conference.

Sarah will be giving a presentation on cyber security and has led an extensive and impactful career guiding businesses through digital attacks and teaching organisations how to protect their data.

Specialising in disaster recovery and crisis management, Sarah is also a powerful advocate for female representation in STEM.

Michael will be hosting a presentation on implementing automated processes and is an accomplished senior leader with experience across the end-to-end supply chain of several global retailers including FMCG, general merchandise and apparel.

We also welcome an insightful introduction from Samantha Brocklehurst, Director of Customer Experience at Maersk, our esteemed conference headline sponsor.

With her extensive expertise in logistics and customer-centric strategies, Samantha will set the tone for the event.

The institute is also pleased to announce our Next Generation Chair and 35 under 35 delegate, Kathryn Charman, Head of Supply Chain and Sustainability for Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS).

Kathryn is particularly passionate about creating sustainable supply chains for the future.

Commenting on her appointment as Next Generation Conference Chair Kathryn said: “When I was at university, we had a visit from the CILT, one of the areas that always stood out to me was the ability the institute provided to meet other members with the same passions as me.

“As I have progressed through the first few years of my career, I have enjoyed this element massively.

“I have taken on a role working towards building a more sustainable future for our industry and this forum will provide a fantastic opportunity to spread this message.”

Speakers from Heathrow, Network Rail, BAE Systems, Green and Blacks, Zemo Partnership, Transport for London (TfL), Dawson Group, Aricia Ltd, WSP and First Bus will also take centre stage at our annual conference this year.

They will emphasise the critical importance of understanding and addressing rapid changes in our economy, environment, and society, as well as the complex factors that hinder inclusive growth and why they are more important than ever.
