Eva Air takes delivery of first 787-10 Dreamliner

Eva Air has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, which will be used on high-density routes in Asia.

It is the first of 20 787-10s on order and joins a fleet of four 787-9 Dreamliners already in operation.

The 68-metre-long 787-10 is built with lightweight composite materials and powered by GEnx engines, offering 25% better fuel efficiency than previous aircraft in the class.

Steve Lin, chairman of Eva Air says: “The 787-10 offers around 15% more cabin space and cargo capacity compared to our existing 787-9s and this added capability will allow us to explore new opportunities for future growth in the emerging markets within Asia Pacific.”
