Etihad to increase Madrid flights to daily service

Etihad Airways is to add three more flights a week on its Madrid service from 1 June 2017, making it a daily service.

The Airbus A330-200 service will leave Abu Dhabi at 02.10h and arrive in Madrid at 08.40h. The return flight will leave Madrid at 10.00h and land back in Abu Dhabi at 19.45h.

The additional service will add another 36 tonnes of freight capacity with industries including fashion, petrochemicals and construction likely to see benefits.

Etihad Aviation Group chief strategy and planning officer, Kevin Knight says: “The extra flights will cater to the strong demand between the two capital cities, and connect our diverse international network even more with the Spanish capital and destinations across Spain and beyond, through our partners.”

The extra flights will provide access to markets across the Middle East, Africa, Indian Subcontinent, Asia and Australasia.
