Ethiopian Cargo adds Bangkok and Hanoi flights

Ethiopian Cargo has launched freighter flights to Bangkok and Hanoi, with the first flight taking off on 16 August.

Flight number ET3628 leaves Addis Ababa on Fridays at 11.55 and lands in Hanoi at 21.30 local time using a Boeing 777 Freighter.

It then leaves Vietnam at 23.30 and lands in Bangkok at 01.00 on Saturday, before flight ET3629 departs for Addis Ababa at 03.00.

Tewolde GebreMariam, CEO of Ethiopian Group says the cargo services will supplement daily passenger flights and give Asian customers greater access to over 60 African destinations.

He says: “The commencement of these flights makes Ethiopian the first African carrier to operate cargo flights from Bangkok, and will also create better opportunity for Thai and Vietnamese exporters to have a one-stop access to the 60 plus African destinations Ethiopian serves.”
