ESC chairman, Denis Choumert joins TIACA board

European Shippers’ Council (ESC) chairman, Denis Choumert has been appointed to The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) board of directors.

Choumert, who has been chairman of the ESC since 2012, has held high-level operational roles in engineering and project management, procurement, and transport and logistics for over two decades and holds director level appointments on other transport associations.

He has been chairman of the French Shippers’ Association, AUTF since 2005, and is a board director for Ports de Paris and the French Rail Network, Réseau Ferré de France. Choumert is also a board director for the French waterways, Voies Navigables de France and professional training, AFTRAL.

Discussing the TIACA appointment, Choumert says: “As chairman of the ESC, which represents European Shippers’ interests but also works actively with Asian and American Shippers’ associations within the Global Shippers Alliance, I am honoured to be able to join TIACA’s Board.”

“Representing the end customers of the air freight industry, I am committed to working with all partners to make air freight more attractive to my constituents as well as more efficient, safer, and more environmentally friendly.”
