Emirates to start third daily flight to Nairobi

Emirates Airline is to increase capacity in Africa with a third daily flight to Nairobi from 1 June.

Flight EK717 will leave Dubai at 01.40h and arrive in the Kenyan capital at 05.40h, with the return flight, EK718 departing Nairobi and landing back in Dubai at 13.15h.

The Boeing 777-300ER flight will provide 16 tonnes of cargo capacity with exports consisting of flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables and imports made up of mobile phones, pharmaceuticals and ready-made garments among others.

Emirates plans a number of other network upgrades for 2017, with daily 777-300 flights to Zagreb in Croatia from 1 June with up to 16 tonnes of capacity.

It will also start using an Airbus A380 on its Sao Paulo services from 26 March, and on Casablanca flights on the same day, which will coincide with A380s returning to Tokyo Narita.
