Emirates to use 777-300 on Sabiha Gokcen service

Emirates is to upgrade its daily Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport service from an Airbus A330-200 to a Boeing 777-300 from 27 March.

The outbound flight from Dubai, number EK119 leaves at 16.55h and arrives in Istanbul at 20.40h, with the return, EK120, leaving again at 22.40h and landing back in Dubai at 04.05h the next day.

Emirates divisional senior vice president commercial West, Hubert Frach says: “With the introduction of the Boeing 777-300 on the route, Emirates reaffirms its leadership position as the only airline operating a scheduled wide-body aircraft at Sabiha Gokcen Airport.”

The airline started A330-200 services to Sabiha Gokcen on 15 December 2015, which offered 24 tonnes of cargo capacity. This supplemented its 11 weekly 777-300ER services to Istanbul’s other hub, Ataturk Airport.
