Steven Verhasselt joins Egis as Strategic Advisor for airfreight development

Egis, the French airport operations and management company, has signed a long-term consultancy agreement with Cargo Strat to support the strategic development of its airport operations and management business. According to Eric Dumas, Director of airport concessions at Egis Group, the partnership with Steven Verhasselt, the director and lead consultant with Cargo Strat, will “strengthen Egis’ commercial strategy in the air freight sector.”

“Starting on August 1st, the network of airports operated by Egis will benefit from the expertise of Steven VERHASSELT to enhance its cargo commercial strategy,” says in a statement.

For 15 years, Steven Verhasselt has been dedicated to the commercial development of Liège Airport, helping to make it the airfreight leader it is today, with annual traffic of 1 million tonnes.

Steven Verhasselt has extensive international experience in the airport sector (Belgium, Hong Kong South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas), both in strategic consulting and commercial development.

As such, he is regularly called upon as a speaker or moderator at professional events. Based in Belgium, Steven VERHASSELT will provide support to the airports of Ostend, Abidjan, Brazzaville, Pointe Noire and Cyprus, and then Cayenne when Egis’ operating contract comes into effect (1 October).
