EFDI to distribute GLS Hong Kong’s EzyCargo in India

Global Logistics System (GLS Hong Kong) has picked Electronic Freight Data Interchange (EFDI) to support EzyCargo in India.

EFDI will provide sales and marketing functions to promote EzyCargo subscriptions to connect freight forwarders with multiple airlines for digital cargo data exchange.

A local service desk will be set up to provide sales and support services in the market and EFDI will support local administration tasks on behalf of GLS Hong Kong.

EzyCargo enables forwarders for e-booking, electronic air waybill data exchange, and the track & trace of consignment status over the internet or via host-to-host connections.

GLS Hong Kong chief executive officer, Tony Sham says: “We are very pleased to partner with EFDI to market EzyCargo in India, and to provide local support to our subscribers. We expect to see subscriptions increase.

“Forwarders can enjoy the benefits of our single gateway for data exchanges with multiple carriers.  New features will also be added to support forwarder needs and local requirements.”

EFDI managing director, Madhav Kulshreshtha says: “We recognise the vast potential for electronic messaging and digitisation that a platform such as Ezycargo offers. With our domain expertise and local knowledge, it would be a winning combination for the industry, given that the Indian Government under the able leadership of our Prime Minister is also pressing for digitisation.”
