  • Dubai-based Managing Director Barbara Baumgartner and Michael Axtmann of FAI Technik will represent the group. The company will showcase its full-service capabilities, including air ambulance, private jet charter, aircraft management, and MRO services.

FAI Aviation Group, Germany`s leading global provider of mission-critical aviation services, offering fixed-wing air ambulance, private jet charter, aircraft management and MRO services, is making its exhibition debut at the Dubai Air Show this month, 17 to 21 November. FAI will be showcasing its services at Booth 637, part of the German Pavillion, as the company marks 23 years in the UAE. FAI’s VIP Charter and Air Ambulance missions in the region account for around 20% of its total operations.

Barbara Baumgartner, the group’s-Dubai based Managing Director, ‏who celebrates 22 years with FAI in Dubai this year and Michael Axtmann, Managing Director of Germany’s FAI Technik will lead the participation.

“We are delighted to be exhibiting at the Dubai Air Show, alongside over 1,400 exhibitors from 98 countries,” said Barbara. “The Middle East is a very significant market for us, through our part Bahrain ownership and the critical work we do, 24/7, providing long-range air ambulance missions, corporate and government flights all around the world as well as our comprehensive MRO services through our dedicated division, FAI Technik. Dubai is an ideal base for us, well located for Europe and FAI’s headquarters in Germany – and for Asia. From Dubai we can reach two thirds of the world’s population within six to eight hours,” she said.

Increased business aviation usage equates to an uptick in demand for MRO, cabin refurbishment and retrofit work including full interior retrofits like the latest high end Challenger 604 project. “During the show I’m looking forward to speaking with existing operators and potential new customers who need third party maintenance, or cabin retrofit work,” said Michael Axtmann. FAI’s MRO activity is typically performed at the company’s three, state-of-the-art, EASA Part-145 certified hangars in Nuremberg, Germany. Its Dubai office serves as a key regional hub for FAI’s divisions, including those supported by FAI Technik’s capabilities.
