dnata has been awarded its first IATA’s Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) registration for its corporate headquarters and London Heathrow Airport station.
This is the 10th key station in dnata’s ground handling operations to receive the certification. The other ground operations which are also ISAGO-registered are Dubai (DXB and DWC), Geneva, Zurich, Manila, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
ISAGO is an internationally-recognised system for assessing the operational management and control systems of an organisation that provides ground handling services for airlines.
It is based on industry-proven quality audit principles and is structured to ensure a standardised audit with consistent results across aviation businesses. The implementation of the ISAGO aims to improve safety as well as manage airline costs by reducing ground accidents and injuries.
dnata UK chief executive officer, Gary Morgan says: “Safety has always been a guiding principle at dnata and is at the heart of everything we do. This certification is a validation of our unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our staff.
“Investing the time and effort in ensuring compliance with ISAGO standards reflect our diligence to continuous improvement in safety standards. It also highlights our goal to operate within globally recognised industry best practices,”
For the latest certification, the ISAGO auditing team from British Airways, assessed dnata’s LHR station in the categories of organisation and management, load control, passenger and baggage handling, aircraft handling and loading, aircraft ground movement and cargo and mail handling, for both documentation and implementation.
Moving forward in the ISAGO programme for dnata UK, London Gatwick Airport and Manchester stations will be audited later this year.
