Dimerco celebrates 50-year milestone

Dimerco celebrates 50-year milestone

One of the world’s leading transportation and freight forwarding specialists, Asia Pacific focused Dimerco Express Group, is celebrating 50 years since establishing its first operating unit in Taipei in 1971, as an air transportation service provider.

Today, half a century later, Dimerco defines itself as a mobile intelligence logistics service provider operating across all transportation modes, with a global network encompassing 160+ operating units, 80+ contract logistics operations, and 200+ strategic partner agents throughout China, India, Asia Pacific, North America and Europe.

Although ongoing COVID-19 restrictions have prevented the company from hosting a live event to celebrate its half-century, Dimerco has marked the milestone with the unveiling of a dynamic new website, which is linked to the company’s market leading Dimerco Value Plus System via a range of new features, and a commemorative video that reflects Dimerco’s impressive growth and many accolades over the years.

The latest of these achievements include certification of the highest level of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status across China and recognition by Great Place To Work (GPTW) in USA, Singapore and Vietnam.

Jeffrey Shih, the chief executive management (CEM) of Dimerco said: “Dimerco has always attributed its ongoing success to a committed and loyal workforce, with professionalism, teamwork and flexibility for our customers at its heart. Accordingly, being accredited by Great Place to Work (GPTW) during our Anniversary year, as well as receiving AEO’s Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE) status award in China, has been welcomed with pride by the company.”

GPTW is a global authority in workplace culture and leads the industry with its rigorous, data-based Great Place to Work Trust Model for quantifying employee experience since 1992 which has surveyed more than 100 million employees around the world. While Dimerco is now certified by GPTW in USA, Singapore and Vietnam, the company aims to achieve wider certification in more countries around the world over the coming months.

The certification of ACE status is significant for Dimerco as increasingly multi-national companies doing business in China are required to have full AEO accreditation. In being recognised as an ACE, Dimerco can reduce customs clearance time with priority treatment and special privileges to secure supply chain processes on imports into China – a valuable benefit for Dimerco’s customers.

Shih concludes on behalf of Dimerco: “By embracing digital freight forwarding and enhancing logistics technology, we have maintained our position as one of the most innovative companies in our sector. We are proud of the tremendous progress our team has made over the years and are grateful for the continued support of our strategic partners and the trust we enjoy from our customers. In our 50th year, we look back at our achievements as well as looking forward to helping customers ship smarter and succeed in this dynamic, global marketplace.”

Dimerco’s commemorative anniversary logo features three V-shaped symbols, which in Chinese reflects the character for ‘people’ and in English stands for Dimerco’s Value Plus System®. All are closely circled together to represent Dimerco’s global IT reach and its people-based professional services.
