deugro Canada appoints Laszlo Szentirmai and Mike Weiner

deugro Canada reinforced its Vancouver team by appointing Laszlo Szentirmai as Project Manager and Mike Weiner as Business Development Manager Canada.

Laszlo Szentirmai has joined the Vancouver, BC team in the role of Project Manager. Working in the logistics industry since 2005, he has nearly 20 years of logistics experience—five years of which in project operation at Transera / C.H. Robinson and, most recently, over seven years as project manager at Panalpina / DSV. At deugro Vancouver.

Laszlo Szentirmai will be responsible for projects and clients across many industries, including LNG, renewables, mining, construction, emissions/carbon capture, power generation, and oil and gas.

Mike Weiner has joined the team in the role of Sales and Business Development Manager Canada, based in Vancouver, BC. In the mid-1980s, he started his career with operational roles including those in air freight, ocean freight and trucking products for various freight forwarders in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Over the past 15 years, he has been focusing on business development with Agility, JAS Projects and most recently Pan Projects / DSV in a western Canadian business development role targeting the mining, oil, gas, energy, power, wind and EPC businesses.

In his new role, Mike Weiner will use his extensive experience to service existing clients and to develop new emerging markets, business potential and client segments.

“Laszlo and Mike’s strong experience will complement Deugro’s specialized project logistics offerings in the unique Canadian market. With additional locations and staff based in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, this expansion to the west coast will support existing operations, as well as focus on new projects and recent wins in the region and nationally from coast to coast to coast,” said Kelly Merath, Country Manager – Canada, deugro.
