Delta Cargo is making its Pharma 4 programme available at an additional eight destinations across its network, bringing the total to 49 stations.

The airline has added Bogota, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Sydney, Sao Paolo, Frankfurt and Seoul, in addition to nine approved facilities across Europe that the airline operates in conjunction with its partners.

Pharma 4 is one of four temperature sensitive shipping options Delta offers, and is designed for products that need to be shipped at room temperature such as prescription drugs and some biotechnology products.

Delta’s ground handling partner in Hong Kong, in addition to being CEIV certified, provides another layer of quality and service control to customers as it has attained GDP certification commending the facility.

In July 2017, Delta became the first US global passenger carrier to receive the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) in Pharma Logistics certification, awarded at headquarters level and at its operation in Atlanta.
