DANX expands Swedish network

DANX expands Swedish network

DANX is announcing the acquisition of Forslund & Malmström (FOMAB) in a move that will allow the time-critical logistics specialist to extend its services to even the most isolated parts of northern Sweden.

FOMAB specialises in final-mile distribution services in Northen Norrland, one of the most remote parts of the country, and has terminals in Luleå, Gällivare and Kiruna.

Their network, which has been growing steadily since it was founded by Fredrik Forslund in 2007, serves both business-to-business and business-to-consumer customers.

“This will not only expand our physical capabilities in Norrland but will also enhance our ability to navigate the unique logistical challenges presented by the northern reaches of the country,” said Martin Grauers, Managing Director of Sweden, DANX.

Forslund will continue to manage FOMAB’s operations following the acquisition and lead the team into the next chapter of its development.

“We’re very optimistic about FOMAB’s future and how we will grow, and are confident that this will bring about new commercial and operational possibilities,” said Forslund.

It is the latest in a series of new partnerships made by DANX this year, following the joining of forces with Polish logistics specialist, ILS, and Norway’s Tromsø Budbil Sentral (TBS).
