Dachser India receives IATA CEIV Pharma

Dachser India has been awarded IATA CEIV Pharma certification for its Mumbai and Hyderabad branches, making it one of the few accredited companies in India.

The Hyderabad branch is the second logistics firm in the area to receive the International Air Transport Association’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics recognition, and Mumbai is one of the few in the region.

Huned Gandhi, managing director of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics for the Indian Subcontinent says: “Obtaining the CEIV Pharma certification is an important milestone for Dachser India. It emphasises our continued focus for providing highly reliable logistic services to our valued customers in the LSH (life science and healthcare) segment.”

Vinoop Goel, regional director for airports and external relations – Asia Pacific for IATA says: “With India being a major supplier of pharmaceutical products, Dachser India’s CEIV Pharma certification will give pharmaceutical companies confidence and assurance that their cold-chain logistics requirements are being met.”

To be certified, Dachser India underwent a detailed and rigorous auditing process to ensure all facilities, equipment, operations and staff were compliant with industry standards.

The standards applied to handling, training, deviation management and efficiency of processes.

Zarksis Munshi, head of airfreight at Dachser Air & Sea India Subcontinent says: “By way of CEIV certification at our Mumbai and Hyderabad branches, Dachser India has made a big step forward to further enhance its operational and technical competencies in serving our LSH customers.”
