Dachser enters Swedish air and sea freight market

Dachser Air & Sea Logistics has entered the Swedish market with an office in Gothenburg offering air and sea freight services.

Eight employees work at the Gothenburg office and Dachser plans to have 20 experts for air and sea freight in the long run.

Gothenburg is Sweden’s second-largest city and has the largest export harbour in Northern Europe.

It is located on an E-road highway that is one of the most important north-south road connections for Sweden and Norway.

Working with the Swedish overland transport organisation, which has four offices in Sweden, Dachser can now offer its customers a full portfolio of multimodal logistics services.

Jochen Muller, COO of Air and Sea Logistics says: “For us, Dachser Air & Sea Logistics Sweden is a further investment in our global air and sea freight network and a way to build up our position in the Scandinavian market.”

Dachser already had branch offices for air and sea freight in Denmark and Finland, with Muller saying: “Our new office in Gothenburg lets us offer our Swedish customers access via Dachser to global markets.”

The service portfolio comprises all global air, sea and rail services as well as customs clearance and warehousing.

Anna Bergdahl, country manager Dachser Air & Sea Logistics Sweden says: “In the long run, interlocking with our overland transport activities will make us a strong service provider in Scandinavia and put us in a position to offer customers all our services.”
