Clark takes the helm in Africa for Cargolux

Cargolux has appointed Jonathan Clark (pictured below) as its new regional director in Africa and he will join the company on 1 February 2016 and be based in Johannesburg.

Clark’s career in air cargo that began in 1989 at MSAS Cargo in Glasgow. He later worked for Lufthansa Cargo for over 19 years in a number of functions, including sales manager Scotland, sales manager UK and Ireland and regional director logistics Southern and Western Africa. In 2010, he worked as regional manager in Africa for Qatar Airways Cargo.

After spending the majority of his career in the airline industry, Clark returned to the forwarding industry, joining DB Schenker as director airfreight Sub Saharan Africa.

“Having spent three years at DB Schenker, this exciting opportunity at Cargolux presented itself and I am very much looking forward to the challenge ahead,” Clark says.

Cargolux says his industry experience and knowledge of the African market will give its business in the region a significant boost.
