Charlotte Elpers appointed VP Worldwide Operations KLM Cargo

Effective 1 March 2025, Charlotte Elpers will assume the role of Vice President Worldwide Operations at KLM Cargo, succeeding Koen Bolster. As VP Worldwide Operations Cargo, Charlotte will oversee KLM’s global cargo operations, bringing nearly two decades of leadership experience within the KLM Group to the position.

Bolster will transition to his new role as Executive Vice President Hub Operations at KLM on 1 February 2025.

Elpers is a dynamic leader with extensive operational expertise. She has been with the KLM Group for 19 years and her career includes roles such as Director Cabin Crew at Transavia, VP Schedule Development & Distribution at KLM carrying responsibility for operational aspects of the airline’s flight schedules, and her current position as VP Passenger Services at KLM’s Schiphol hub.

Adriaan den Heijer, EVP Cargo Air France-KLM: “I would like to express my gratitude to Koen Bolster for his outstanding contribution to KLM Cargo over many years. Koen successfully led our global cargo operations through one of the most challenging periods in KLM’s history, including the Covid-19 pandemic. His drive, enthusiasm and authenticity have been pivotal in shaping the KLM Cargo organisation and its operational strategy.

“In Charlotte Elpers, we have found a worthy successor. With her extensive operational leadership experience and broad background at KLM, she is well-positioned to lead the continued growth and future development of KLM Cargo.”
