CHAMP sets up team to drive digital adoption in air cargo

CHAMP Cargosystems has created a dedicated team as it looks to accelerate digital adoption across the air cargo supply chain.

The industry IT provider has appointed Wojciech Soltysiak as its new chief technology and innovation officer, who will lead a new team dedicated to drive innovation through digital technologies and be responsible for creating and maintaining CHAMP’s digital strategy.

CHAMP says with e-commerce on the rise, there is a clear and big opportunity in the supply chain sector to embrace new and more digital technologies.

Chief executive officer, Arnaud Lambert says: “We are working with a wealth of data. We not only have technological capabilities to uncover the data and insights that our customers need, but also to help them be more efficient and competitive in a highly diverse market.

“I am confident that with Wojciech’s 20-year experience in digital technologies and recognized international experience, our customers will soon benefit from new digital elements further streamlining their day-to-day activities and helping the air cargo community to reap the benefits of a digital logistic chain.”

Soltysiak adds: “We see a lot of opportunities in new technologies to further expand our portfolio, focusing as priority on the Big Data area. We’ll be able to further utilise investments already made by CHAMP in the Traxon cargoHUB product family, which uses state of the art technology stack like NoSQL and Hadoop and helps our customers to discover more from the data in our possession.”
