After a career at leading travel technology company, Sabre, Chad Tibor is joining the cargo.one leadership team. As vice president & general manager airlines for the Americas, he will shape cargo.one’s supplier growth strategy with a focus on the American continents.

What convinced you to join cargo.one? 

Tibor: The opportunity to join a dynamic team with amazing technology, and to help shape an entire industry. Being an experienced veteran of the airline travel marketplace, I see a clear need for the modernisation of air cargo distribution and the immense benefits that would result for all stakeholders. After talking with the founders and the team of cargo.one, it was immediately apparent to me that this is the organisation that will deliver these innovations! I am excited to share with airlines cargo.one’s vision to transform how they take their cargo products to market, and to do my part in establishing cargo.one as the world-class digital marketplace.

What is your mission as VP & general manager airlines for the Americas? ‍

Tibor: cargo.one has proven its technology and business model in Europe, now it’s time to go global! My mission as the leader of the Americas airline team is to reach every airline domiciled in this part of the world and share with them the unique value that cargo.one delivers in a matter of a few months. Furthermore, it is important to me that each airline that joins cargo.one’s expanding network feels like they are working with a trusted partner that is collaborative and committed to mutual and long-term success. Together, we will innovate, grow, and flourish!

What do you see as the biggest challenges for airlines these days and how are you going to tackle them with cargo.one? ‍

Tibor: Airlines face immense challenges as the entire travel ecosystem continues to suffer through this ongoing global pandemic. Passenger revenues continue to be historically low, so airlines need to capitalise on other sources of income and cargo is at the top of that list. cargo.one’s global digital marketplace provides airlines of all sizes and segmentations a proven, efficient and cost-efficient way to reach our growing network of freight forwarders, providing much needed revenues, improved  yields and access to incremental new business. cargo.one is revolutionising the air cargo distribution industry and is poised to be the preeminent distribution partner for airline cargo businesses across the globe.
