CEVA Logistics adds to global warehouse innovation initiative

  • CEVA Logistics is beginning a phased rollout of Manhattan Associates’ Active® solutions across its global contract logistics operations.
  • The deployment includes Manhattan Active® Warehouse Management (WMS) and Order Management (OMS) systems, integrated with CEVA’s existing tech stack to provide tailored, future-ready contract logistics services.
  • CEVA manages over 11 million m² of warehouse space across ~800 sites, and the Manhattan solutions will initially be deployed at select locations in North America and Europe, eventually covering more than half of CEVA’s sites.
  • CEVA Logistics has announced that the company is starting a phased rollout of Manhattan Associates’ Active® solutions into its global contract logistics operations.

CEVA will deploy Manhattan Active® Warehouse Management and Manhattan Active® Order Management as part of its on-going innovation initiatives aimed at reinforcing its future-ready tech stack. The integration of Manhattan’s cloud-native tools into CEVA’s existing tech stack will provide a solid base to tailor its contract logistics offerings based on customer-specific requirements. CEVA manages more than 11 million square meters of warehouse space across approximately 800 sites in its contract logistics business.

Manhattan’s SaaS solutions are capable of handling large volumes with zero downtime, supporting CEVA in quickly onboarding new customers and new sites. The Manhattan WMS and OMS solutions will also allow CEVA to provide customers with advanced visibility and self-service data dashboards through its MyCEVA customer portal.

CEVA will begin deployment at select locations across North America and Europe before moving to other global locations. Following the deployment, Manhattan systems will run at more than half of CEVA’s contract logistics sites, with most of the remaining sites using CEVA’s Matrix® systems.

Chris Walton, SVP of global contract logistics, CEVA Logistics, said: “CEVA’s commitment to our customers requires agility to respond to needs, to continuously innovate and to grow alongside them. The ability to add new technologies plays a major role in how we do this and, at the same time, how we drive our business forward. So, this latest deliverable on our longer-term strategy ensures we are perfectly placed to accelerate the deployment of the latest advances in data, AI, wearables, cobots and other solutions for the maximum benefit to our customer, while also driving maximum efficiency into all aspects of our global operations.”

Eric Clark, CEO, Manhattan Associates, added: “Manhattan and CEVA place innovation and customers at the core of everything we do, so the business philosophy and synergy between both our companies was clear from the start. We look forward to providing CEVA with the technology innovation needed to stay ahead of competitors, react to global events and turn challenges into opportunities in the fast-moving world of third-party logistics and supply chain.”
