CEVA launches new Amazon fulfilment centre in Brazil

  • CEVA Logistics has launched a 67,000 m² Amazon fulfilment centre in Santa Maria, Brazil, reinforcing central-west Brazil’s role as a strategic logistics hub. The site is Amazon’s 15th fulfilment centre nationwide and its second in the Federal District.

  • The facility is designed to handle up to 135,000 packages per day, supporting Amazon Brazil’s rapid delivery goals with 24-hour operations, smart storage systems, and high standards of safety, visibility, and inventory control.

  • The project was delivered in just 11 weeks, showcasing CEVA’s speed and execution capability, and will generate more than 1,400 jobs locally—boosting economic development while scaling Amazon’s e-commerce footprint in the region.

CEVA Logistics, a global leader in third-party logistics, has inaugurated a new Amazon fulfilment centre in Santa Maria, Federal District, Brazil. Located about 30 kilometres from the nation’s capital, Brasilia, the facility strengthens the region’s position as a key logistics hub in central-west Brazil.

The new 67,000 m² fulfilment centre will support up to 135,000 packages daily, helping Amazon Brazil to quickly and reliably reach its end-customers. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place earlier this month, bringing together Federal District Governor Ibaneis Rocha, public authorities, Amazon executives and CEVA leadership to celebrate Amazon’s 15th fulfilment centre in Brazil and second in the Federal District. The new operation will support the local economy with more than 1,400 new job opportunities and marks a strategic milestone for the region’s e-commerce segment, further strengthening the relationship between CEVA Logistics and Amazon.

The new fulfilment centre highlights CEVA’s commitment to operational excellence, featuring advanced inventory management and intelligent storage and control systems. Built for maximum agility and precision, the facility maintains a 24-hour service standard focused on safety, reliability, and efficient coordination between inventory and transport operations. Additionally, it integrates sustainable practices that encourage responsible resource use and minimise environmental impact, reflecting the shared sustainability goals of both companies.

CEVA’s team completed the operational implementation in just 11 weeks, demonstrating exceptional project execution to meet Amazon’s business requirements. By leveraging process governance, automation, analytics and rigorous safety standards, the new facility delivers significant gains in productivity and predictability across the supply chain, ultimately enhancing service quality for Amazon’s end consumers throughout Brazil.
