Cathay Pacific Airways is to increase UK services with four times a week Airbus A350-900 flights to Gatwick Airport from September 2016.
The flights will leave Hong Kong at 00.55h and arrive at Gatwick at 07.10h. The return flight will leave Gatwick at 12.35h and arrive in Hong Kong at 07.25h the next day.
The service, if approved, will add to Cathay Pacific’s five times a daily service from Hong Kong International Airport to Heathrow Airport. Cathay Pacific also flies to Manchester Airport.
Cathay Pacific chief executive, Ivan Chu says: “Cathay Pacific has been serving London for 35 years and our commitment to the UK market is very strong. We are delighted to launch a non-stop service to Gatwick, using our new state-of-the-art A350 aircraft, which will help meet increasing demand for both business and leisure travel between the Asia Pacific region and the UK.”
