Cathay Cargo & CHAMP Cargosystems: ONE Record Use Case in Full Production

Cathay Cargo, in partnership with CHAMP Cargosystems, has gone live with a ONE Record use case that spearheads the air cargo industry’s adoption of ONE Record.

Utilizing CHAMP’s 1Neo-Connect for ONE Record, the new Cathay Cargo service provides real-time booking updates with some of CHAMP’s primary ground handlers worldwide. This is a significant step forward as the increased visibility allows Cathay Cargo’s ground handlers to understand better and prepare for shipping cargo to particular stations.

The successful launch of the new service demonstrates Cathay Cargo and CHAMP Cargosystems’ commitment to innovate and drive the adoption of the ONE Record standard. This resulted from the two companies’ significant collaboration and close working relationship.

Tom Owen, Cathay Director Cargo, said, “We are thrilled to launch our first ONE Record use case with CHAMP and experience the benefits this generates for our partners. This will ultimately enable all of us to further streamline the air cargo supply chain. This would not have been possible without our partnership with CHAMP. The adoption of ONE Record marks a turning point for the air cargo industry as a whole, and we look forward to exploring the possibilities it holds for digitalisation.”

CHAMP CEO Chris McDermott said, “It’s been our great pleasure to work with Cathay Cargo to implement this groundbreaking ONE Record use case. CHAMP sees ONE Record as the standard that will drive the full digitalization of air cargo and enable new services, so it’s fascinating to see this implementation come to fruition.”
