- Cathay today announced the appointment of Anand Yedery as the new Regional Head of Cargo, Europe, effective from September 2025.
- Anand takes over from Jansen Stafford, who will be returning to Cathay’s headquarters in Hong Kong to take up Head of Strategic Projects, Cargo.
Yedery brings with him over 20 years of experience with Cathay, including a strong background in both passenger and cargo operations across diverse
markets. Born and educated in Mumbai, Anand began his career with Cathay in 2004 in the Customer Services department at Mumbai International Airport, before transitioning to the Commercial team in 2007, where he led passenger sales for Southern India from Chennai.
In 2010, he returned to Mumbai to head passenger sales for Western India. His shift to cargo came in 2014 when he was appointed Regional Cargo Manager for South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, overseeing Cathay Cargo’s business and operations across a wide and complex region. Since 2018, Anand has been responsible for passenger sales, marketing, and lifestyle for the same region, based in Mumbai.
“Cargo is a vital part of Cathay’s global offering, and Europe is one of our most important cargo markets,” said Yedery. “I’m honoured to take on this role and to lead our cargo operations across Europe at such a pivotal time for the industry. I look forward to building strong partnerships with our customers and strengthening Cathay Cargo’s presence across the region.”
Yedery’s deep understanding of regional dynamics, combined with his operational and commercial expertise, positions him well to lead Cathay Cargo’s growth and strategy in Europe.
