Cargo iQ’s Executive Director Lothar Moehle to step down

Lothar Moehle, Cargo iQ’s Executive Director has announced that he is stepping down from the role after over two years at the head of the not-for-profit quality standards group.

He will remain in his role until May 2024 when he will be replaced by Marie Seco-Köppen, an air freight transportation professional, with over 20 years of experience in delivering process and digitalisation improvements.

Seco-Köppen will combine an analytical, data driven mindset with a hands-on attitude to drive impactful continuous improvement initiatives. She has been recognised repatedly for leading succesful integration initiatives across multiple industry players.

Speaking at the IATA World Cargo Symposium, Moehle thanked the organsiation and imndustry for their support, as he enters his retirement.

Joining Cargo iQ in its early days, Moehle spent nine years as a Regional Director before departing in 2012 to become the Director Security Standardisation at DB Schenker.

Moehle returned to the company in January 2022, bringing his four decades of experience in air cargo and logistics to the organisation, as the sector navigated out of the shadow of Covid.

With the industry embracing digitalisation in the post-pandemic environment, looking to develop seamless and transparent supply chains, under Moehle, Cargo iQ has looked to drive standardisaton and improve reliability across the industry.
