Cargo growth at Changi Airport slows in February

Growth has slowed at Changi Airport in February, rising 1.4 per cent year-on-year compared to the double digit increase seen in January.

The Singapore airport handled 148,930 tonnes of cargo in February, a 1.4 per cent increase on the same month of 2017 when it handled 146,900 tonnes.

So far this year Changi Airport has handled 324,500 tonnes, up 6.2 per cent on the volumes it handled in 2017.

The growth in February follows the 10.7 per cent year-on-year increase seen in January when the airport handled 175,600 tonnes of cargo.

More than 100 airlines operate at Changi Airport, connecting it to more than 400 cities in 100 countries around the world.
