Cargo fall in October for Aeroflot

Aeroflot has seen a falls in cargo carried in October – in the first month that it helped out with Transaero services which ceased operating on 26 October.

In October, the carrier carried 11,646 tonnes of cargo, a fall of 20.7 per cent on the 14,687 tonnes in the same month last year.

So far this year Aeroflot has carried 107,834 tonnes of cargo a 7.3 per cent fall on the 115,293 tonnes in the same 10 months of 2014.

Aeroflot’s revenue cargo tonne kilometres were 54.8 million, which was a 22.8 per cent drop on the 71 million in October 2014.

This year the revenue cargo tonne kilometres are 491.7 million, a 10.1 decline on the 547.1 million last year.

Aeroflot will also launch flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport and Saratov from 15 December 2015 using a Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
