Bosco Dsouza joins Virgin Cargo’s Melbourne office

Bosco Dsouza has joined Virgin Atlantic Cargo as account manager Melbourne to help build on strong growth in its Australian business.

He joins from Worldwide GSA for Qatar Airways Cargo brings over 20 years of experience in the cargo industry.

Dsouza has worked both locally and internationally having been with Qatar Airways in India as well as spending six years in freight sales with FedEx, and earlier in his carrier, working for dnata in Dubai and Saudi Customs.

In his new post, he reports to Pip Palmer, manager regional sales Australia and New Zealand at Virgin Atlantic Cargo.

Virgin experienced strong growth in Australia with tonnage rising 51% and revenue climbing 58% as customers welcomed seamless connections from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to international destinations.

Palmer says: “Bosco is a great addition to our team in Australia and will play an important role in helping us build on the growth we delivered last year. Our ability to connect customers in Melbourne with Hong Kong and Los Angeles through our partnership with Virgin Australia, as well as offering onward connections to the rest of the Virgin Atlantic network, continues to give us a strong advantage.”
