New bellyhold routes for London Luton Airport

London Luton Airport (LLA) has landed two new airline partners in Vueling and Transavia who will launch bellyhold routes from to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris.

IAG subsidiary Vueling and Air France-KLM’s Transavia will both launch new routes from London Luton in 2016.

Vueling will operate four daily flights to Barcelona and Amsterdam while Transavia will offer 12 flights a week to Paris-Orly Airport.

In addition, existing carrier Blue Air has also announced the introduction of new routes to Cyprus’s second city Larnaca and to Turin, Italy as part of its summer 2016 schedule.

The airport’s chief executive officer, Nick Barton says the arrival of Vueling and Transavia is another major coup for the gateway.

Vueling strategy director, Fernando Estrada says it was the natural choice for its new London-Amsterdam and London-Barcelona services.
