BA’s semi-final bellyhold bonanza

BA’s semi-final bellyhold bonanza

British Airways Boeing 777-200

If you are shipping goods between the UK and Russia, today is a good day to do it as there is an unexpected bellyhold capacity surge from British Airways. As English footie fans fly out to support the national side, BA is laying on larger aircraft with more bellyhold uplift capabilities.

British Airways has swopped smaller aircraft for B777s to accommodate those fans seeking to watch England take on Croatia for a place in the final tomorrow night.

The carrier has four flights to Russia today – three to Moscow and one to St Petersburg – and had upgraded a number of aircraft on these services to B777s after the Sweden game.

The airline says: “This is to make sure we could help get the maximum number of fans to see the semi-final.”

They had earlier Tweeted a patriotic meme, predicting an England win.
