Awery wins 4th consecutive hackathon with open-source One Record server

Awery Aviation Software (Awery) has won its fourth International Air Transport Association (IATA) ONE Record Hackathon in a row for its digital solution, PHP:ONE, which enables seamless data exchange for air cargo stakeholders.

Participants spent 28 hours coding and developing solutions, with Awery creating an Open Source ONE Record server that functions as a Universal Cargo Hub, standardising data from mixed sources.

PHP:ONE supports both ONE Record API integration and traditional Cargo-IMP messaging, ensuring that all stakeholders can benefit from a single source of truth data.

“Our goal was to provide an industry-standard, open-source solution that facilitates and speeds up the adoption of ONE Record standard for data sharing,” said Vitaly Smilianets, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Awery.

“We built PHP:ONE to act as a bridge, allowing all industry players to integrate seamlessly, regardless of their technical maturity.”

The solution can convert all major cargo messages into ONE Record format, facilitating industry-wide communication.

This instalment of the ONE Record Hackathon was hosted in Dublin, Ireland, and kickstarted IATA’s World Data Symposium 2025.

This win follows Awery’s previous hackathon successes: in Istanbul, for Flight Care; in Frankfurt, for CargoTracking.aero; and in Doha, for Qpay.aero.
