Aviator signed a multi-year contract with Nouvelair for full handling services at Helsinki Airport

  • Aviator Airport Alliance has signed its first ground handling contract with Tunisian airline Nouvelair at Helsinki Airport, effective from October 27.
  • Aviator’s Finland team will provide full-service support, including passenger handling, ramp operations, and de-icing, for Nouvelair’s weekly charter flights between Helsinki and Monastir.
  • The agreement marks a strategic expansion for both companies: Aviator strengthens its Nordic footprint, while Nouvelair builds its presence in Finland to tap into outbound tourism demand to Tunisia. Nouvelair, Tunisia’s second-largest airline, operates a fleet of A320 and A320neo aircraft and maintains close ties with other Avia Solutions Group entities across Europe.

Aviator Airport Alliance (Aviator), the largest independent provider of airport ground handling in the Nordics and part of Avia Solutions Group, has signed a contract with Tunisian carrier Nouvelair for handling services at Helsinki Airport. The contract, which is the first between the companies, began on October 27th.   

Aviator Airport Alliance’s team in Finland will be providing a full scope of services, including passenger handling, ramp handling and de-icing. Nouvelair is currently running weekly charters between Helsinki and Monastir on the Tunisian coast.  

Kimmo Holopainen, Managing Director of Aviator Airport Services Finland, said: “We are very pleased to begin this new partnership with Nouvelair. Aviator in Helsinki will deliver reliability and a high-quality service, ensuring safety and efficiency for all of Nouvelair’s handling needs here.”

Founded in 1989, Nouvelair is Tunisia’s 2nd largest airline, and operates a number of routes between Europe and the North African country. Its fleet consists of Airbus A320 and A320 Neo aircraft, and its main bases are in Tunis, Djerba and Monastir. Nouvelair has successfully partnered with other members of the Avia Solutions Group in other European countries.
