Avianca Cargo adds a new freighter aircraft to its fleet

  • The airline continues to strengthen its regional connectivity, now reaching over 350 destinations and reaffirming its commitment to high-quality, customer-focused service.
  • As the leading carrier for flower exports from Colombia and Ecuador, Avianca Cargo has transported over 100,000 tonnes in 2025 and invested in major infrastructure upgrades in Medellín and Miami to enhance capacity and cold-chain quality.
Avianca Cargo reaffirms its commitment to offer its customers a consistent and excellent service. With a modern fleet and an ever-expanding network, the airline strengthens its role as a strategic partner in the region and drives the expansion of its freighter operation with the addition of the new A330P2F.
This aircraft joins Avianca Cargo, completing a fleet, in synergy with Avianca Cargo Mexico, of 9 A330 freighter aircraft (6 A330F and 3 A330P2F).  The new freighter that is incorporated has a capacity of more than 60 tonnes and shares with the A330s fuel efficiency, better load capacity and volume than other medium-sized freighters, while providing flexibility on medium-range routes. These features allow the airline to continue with a service that adjusts to the needs of customers and maintains the highest quality standards.
“At Avianca Cargo we celebrate the expansion of our fleet and the arrival of the new freighter converted A330P2F, an aircraft with more than 13 years of history that now joins our fleet to continue ratifying our commitment to connectivity and service. Today we reach more than 350 destinations with an expanded network and we continue to expand our connections to new markets,” says Diogo Elias, CEO of Avianca Cargo.

“We are happy to be strategic allies and benchmarks in the transport of flowers. This year we ratified our leadership in the transport of flowers to the United States, we broke a historical record and during the seasons we had a growth of 8 percent, above the sector,” added Diogo.
