Antonov denies media reports of liquidation

Antonov has denied media reports it is in liquidation, saying the Ukrainian government has liquidated Antonov State Concern, but Antonov State Company will continue to operate.

The aircraft manufacturer says the government of Ukraine has liquidated Antonov State Concern, which consists of Antonov State Company, Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company (KSAMC) and State enterprise Plant 410 of Civil Aviation. It says the Ukrainian government placed Antonov State Company, KSAMC and Plant 410 were placed under management of UKROBORONPROM State Concern “to increase efficiency of the aircraft industry.”

In a statement on its website, Antonov says: “Antonov State Company continues to work. It performs full cycle of the aircraft creation – from pre-project scientific researches to construction, tests, certification, serial production and after-sales maintenance. As before, the Company’s production is represented under Antonov brand.”
