American Airlines to lease CSafe ULDs directly to customers

American Airlines (AA) Cargo will be offering CSafe Global RKN unit load devices (ULD) for leasing directly to customers from 1 November.

The airline says the ULDs are capable of maintaining precise temperatures between four and 25 degrees Celsius. AA Cargo says leasing CSafe Global RKNs offer customers simpler services for shipping time and temperature sensitive products.

AA Cargo manager of cold chain strategy, Tom Grubb says: “American is incredibly excited to introduce a new option that will give our customers the ability to lease these CSafe units directly from American, leading to a simpler and more efficient shipping experience.”

CSafe director customer support and partner management, Mark Mohr says: “American has been transporting CSafe containers for nearly a year and this new agreement will offer our mutual customers leasing options via a partner that is already well established in the transport of temperature managed products by air.”
