American Airlines has launched daily nonstop flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport, its third route to the Chinese capital.
The Boeing 787-8 service departs Los Angeles at 10.55h and arrives in Beijing at 16.20h the next day, and the return flight departing Beijing at 18.30h, arriving back in Los Angeles at 15.15h.
Cargo customers will benefit from more cargo capacity through Los Angeles, bringing over 200 destinations in North and Latin America within reach for customers throughout Asia as well as providing more opportunities for North and Latin American shippers to solidify connections into the Asian markets.
Customers will be offered the ConfirmedFS, ExpediteFS, ExpediteTC and Priority Parcel Service (for outbound services only).
American Airlines senior vice president – International and Cargo, Jim Butler says: “The new route enhances our expanding Asia-Pacific network by providing more options for business and leisure travellers as well as cargo customers looking to connect shipments on American’s network to Latin America and other destinations in the US.”
This is the third route to Beijing following the launch of flights from Chicago O’Hare International Airport in 2010 and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in 2015.
It is also American’s 15th route between the USA and the Asia Pacific region.
