Albion Aviation Group has been appointed general sales agent (GSA) in Europe for Prime Aviation.
As the GSA, Albion Aviation will exclusively sell Prime’s network on a per kilo basis, and offer full and part-charter capacity from the UAE to destinations in the Middle East, CIS and Africa.
Prime Aviation operates scheduled services from Sharjah Airport to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah in Iraq using Airbus A300-B4Fs and IL76-TDs.
Lewis King, director of Albion Aviation Group says: “Representation of Prime Aviation in the European market is in line with the group’s vision to become an all-encompassing aviation company. As a group, we believe we have strong expertise in both scheduled cargo sales and charter sales and we look forward to offering Prime’s bespoke network to the European cargo market.”
Syed Wazeer, managing director of Prime Aviation says: “Partnering with a reputable aviation company such as the Albion Aviation Group gives us much needed exposure to the European market. We look forward to working with the team at Albion to help expand our service offerings in the European market.”
King tells Air Cargo Week that the main types of cargo that will be transported are pharmaceuticals, oil and gas parts, and electronics.
He also says the contract is in line with Albion’s expansion plans to start its GSA products, and the plan is to offer Prime Aviation’s Iraqi airfreight network to European-based freight forwarders and charter brokers.
