Airfreight Load Board to innovate operations

Airfreight Load Board to innovate operations

Recently unveiling its Airfreight Load Board, CargoAi is looking to bring innovation to the air cargo industry, increasing efficiency and transparency for forwarders and airlines.

Load boards have existed in the trucking sector for a while, and CargoAi is now offering a marketplace that provides a spot request feature for its customers. This offers real-time updates and seamless search functionality, ensuring that airline or GSA users can quickly identify and secure available capacity with the right decision-maker with ease.

Additionally, the platform fosters direct connections between carriers and forwarders without any third party in between, facilitating more efficient and transparent transactions.

“We decided it was an excellent opportunity to combine this and give the airline visibility to hunt for freight and provide better service to freight forwarders,” CargoAi CEO Matthieu Petot stated.

“This new feature completes our existing offering that already gave forwarders the tool to manage spot requests across airlines, and our API solutions are already integrated with 102+ airlines – now providing airlines, with or without API integration, a centralized platform for accessing spot cargo and finding ways to grow.”

Seamless search

From the start, CargoAi has let freight forwarders make spot requests on top of bookings, not just focusing on eBookings.

The company made some investments to get accurate schedules of more than 600 airlines and leave the forwarder with the option to send spot requests to many airlines simultaneously.

This has been used to require confirmation for shipments up to 45,000 kgs or particular commodities that are not covered by an airline’s APIs.

Another main differentiator is the community of 16,000 forwarders using the marketplace regularly, giving real-time understanding of spot requirements.

Based on these ever-changing requirements, CargoAi provides information to the airlines with real-time market data and trends in the form of intelligence to make the right decisions in their spot request answers.

The initial feedback from airlines and freight forwarders using the Air Freight Load Board has been overwhelmingly positive,” Petot explained.

“Since implementing the Air Freight Load Board, we have observed significant improvements in the airfreight booking process.

“Users have praised the platform for its ease of use, comprehensive feature set, and ability to streamline the booking process. Many across the sales and operations department have noted significant time savings and increased.

“On the airline’s & General Sales and Service Agent’s (GSSAs) side, finding & managing spot requests from existing & new forwarders in a single platform has never been easier.

“For the forwarders side, this feature gave them more choices across airlines to find their best partner at a shipment level.

“Based on our user feedback, our airfreight load board and real-time market insights provide a real competitive advantage to any local sales agent using it.”

Direct to customer

CargoAi’s connection works via the CargoMART app. Freight forwarders can reach more airlines for their spot requests and Airlines can find available spot requests they have not been invited to quote in the airfreight load board. The app also offers live chat messaging, data insights, and more to benefit freight forwarders, airlines, and GSAs for a swift connection.

Building upon the Airfreight Load Board, CargoAi remains committed to its goal of revolutionising logistics through continuous innovation and expansion.

“Our next steps involve further enhancing the platform’s capabilities, expanding the network of airlines, forwarders, and integrations with transport management systems (TMS) and investing in our product portfolio, which includes our payment solution, CargoWALLET, and our AI tool, CargoCOPILOT,” Petot outlined.

“Additionally, we will continue to collaborate closely with industry stakeholders to identify new opportunities for improvement and develop solutions that address evolving market needs.

“For companies interested in leveraging the Air Freight Load Board to maximise benefits, we recommend testing it, as its ease of use will blow them away. Airline & GSA companies can gain a competitive edge in the market by fully integrating the Load Board into existing workflows and processes.

“On the other hand, we also recommend staying informed about our platform updates and upcoming features at Cargoai. Our team is already working on new exciting features!”
