- AirExplore, a full-service provider of ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) and Slovakia’s largest airline, has added a B737-800 aircraft to its passenger fleet.
- The company, part of Avia Solutions Group, now operates a fleet of 9 B737-800 passenger aircraft and 2 B737-800 freighters.
AirExplore’s new B737-800, registration OM-PEX, comes in a single-class 189Y seat configuration. The aircraft, which is leased from Aviation Capital Group (ACG), has now officially joined the airline’s fleet.
With demand for its services increasing, AirExplore is now weighing up different options to deploy this new aircraft, including possibilities in Europe, the Middle East or Africa. As AirExplore’s CEO Martin Štulajter explains, the company is targeting a balanced approach to deployment.
“Our plan for the fleet is to deploy 50 percent of it on year-long contracts, while retaining the other 50% for seasonal contracts during high demand periods. We are ready to meet our customers’ needs in a various regions, and securing this B737-800 provides us with the additional flexibility we need to do so,” says Martin Štulajter.
The acquired B737-800 has successfully completed all required inspections and maintenance checks before joining the AirExplore fleet. With crews fully trained on this aircraft type, AirExplore is prepared to deliver comprehensive ACMI services immediately.
According to Martin Štulajter, this acquisition positions the company well for the evolving market dynamics. “With ongoing aircraft shortages in the market and persistent delivery delays, adding a passenger aircraft gives us a strategic advantage. The demand for ACMI services remains strong, and this expansion allows us to offer reliable solutions,” comments Martin Štulajter.
