Airbridge International Agencies (AIA) has been selected as the general sales agent for Leisure Cargo in Austria and will take responsibility for Austrian airline NIKI.
AIA has worked with Leisure Cargo for 10 years in the UK and Ireland, including online sales for Thomson Airways from 2011. It will work with NIKI, part of the airberlin group, which has a fleet of four Airbus A321s, 12 Airbus A320s and seven Embraer E190s. Its base at Vienna International Airport is an airberlin group hub, focusing on South East Europe.
AIA general manager for Europe, Mark Andrew, says: “With NIKI’s connection to airberlin it provides us with fantastic opportunities for sales using airberlin’s widebody network into the US, Caribbean, and the Asia Pacific feeding German gateways via our daily flights with NIKI.”
Leisure cargo does not have its own fleet, but has access to the bellyhold of 19 carriers, flying to 300 destinations. Leisure’s clients include Air Europa, Jet Air Fly and Thomson Airways.
