Air New Zealand will now partner with Unilode Aviation Solutions, to provide the airline with a full service, unit load device (ULD) management solution. The partnership will also allow Air New Zealand to leverage Unilode’s digital containers and pallets, e-ULD app and customer dashboard, gaining access to enhanced data analytics and operational efficiencies.

Unilode will provide ULD management to the airline, repair, and digital services for Air New Zealand’s flights across its global network, and carry out MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) services in Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane.

Air New Zealand General Manager Cargo, Anne Dunne, explains the airline is looking forward to partnering with Unilode to provide a better experience for customers, employees, and the wider cargo ecosystem.

Air New Zealand General Manager Cargo, Anne Dunne, says: “We’re excited to join forces with Unilode, who share our commitment to innovation and customer excellence. This partnership will allow us to benefit from Unilode’s expertise, resources, digital ULD fleet, and worldwide network, streamlining our ULD operations and ultimately helping provide a better experience to our customers. For our cargo customers, this means better ULD availability and for our team it means more digital tools to support them in their work every day.

Under this new partnership, Unilode will manage Air New Zealand’s fleet of ULDs, providing state-of-the-art tracking, maintenance, and repair services. Unilode’s advanced technology and extensive network will ensure that Air New Zealand’s ULD operations are more reliable.”

Ross Marino, Unilode Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are thrilled about Air New Zealand’s decision to select Unilode for the global full-service management of its ULD fleet, following an extensive tender process. With this contract award and Air New Zealand’s confidence in our services, Unilode is further strengthening its position in Oceania and is enhancing the scale and network reach for all of our customers operating in this region.
